Please note that, as of the 25th May 2018 when the European General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) came into effect, I am obliged to ask you to explicitly opt in to my updates service, and also be able to provide evidence of your consent to me holding your email address. It’s a bloody stupid regulation but, in the scheme of things, probably doesn’t hit the top 100 list of insanities we’re all faced with.

Anyway, to that end I have implemented a process of Sign-up Confirmation which means that once you subscribe you will receive an email confirmation of your subscription, which you must then confirm to activate the service. The second stage is important because without it you will not be classed as an active subscriber and you won’t get updates of my drivel.

Once that’s done you’ll start to receive newsletters from the site.

To subscribe for updates by email simply enter your email address and Subscribe Now. A confirmation and activation email will be sent to you. Once your subscription has been activated you’ll start to receive my emails.

You can unsubscribe at any time by simply clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of each email, or send an email to andy@andyclose.uk. Upon receiving an Unsubscribe request your contact details will be permanently deleted from our systems and database within 30 days.

If you want to change your options at any time, just unsubscribe using one of the methods above, and then re-subscribe from the site with your new preferences.
